The first cheese from the Canary Islands to obtain a DOP, Queso Majorero is made on the island of Fuerteventura. Using the indigenous breed of Majorera goats that produce milk high on butterfat and aromatic. Aged for a minimum of 2 months, this one is a semi soft cheese that has a nice springy texture, and melts easily. It has a rich buttery and milky flavor with a hint of nuttiness and a slight tang.
