At Chantal’s Cheese Shop, we believe in fresh cut cheese, which means we cut each order by hand to ensure the freshest product. We strive for accuracy, however we are humans not machines. In our shop, we get to say things like, “hey, so this is more like a 1/3 of a pound” and you get to say “oh, I’m sure we can find a way to deal with that.” And we all laugh.
We don’t get to have that laugh online. Instead, we have a 25% overage that we estimate for each item you purchase that is priced by weight. Once we’ve prepared your order, we will charge based on the actual weight of your products, so that you’re paying for what you’re getting. This also means that we do not finalize payment until the day of the order, so you may see the charge as pending until up to a few days after the pickup or delivery date.
