An organic gouda from The Netherlands on the Island of Goeree-Overflakkee. Aged for 1 year, Jersyhoeve Schorren is made from the milk of a herd of 80 Jersey Cows (hence the name!) Why is this important? Well, it is because Jersey cows are known to have a high content of butterfat, which means that helps in the cheese making process to make some delicious rich cheeses. Adding to your typical gouda flavors (toasted nuts, caramel, butterscotch…) you will also find some flavors of salted butter. If you close your eyes you will be transported to the Dutch grassland.
